About the Museum

Many aspects of local history are explored - industries, commerce, religion, education and domestic life. Of particular interest is the display regarding the history of Bryants' Bakery, (new in 2008) the model of Admiral Hardy and the traditional kitchen. We hope children will enjoy the St. Bartholomew's Church puzzle, puzzles and weaving, the prisoner in his cell and the quiz. Changing displays of photographs and other items from our collection or on loan are on view in the exhibition room.
