The streets will be lined with historic and classic cars, and vehicles from all over the country, and themed with memories of times past, with music, fashion, food, businesses, banks, shops, and re-enactors all playing their part. Star Wars characters, Army Personnel, Tank and Military Vehicles, Superhero Cosplayers, Buses, Motorbikes, Ladies and Gents in Fashion from all eras, Hippies, Rock & Rollers, TV Personalities, Civics and VIPs will all be in attendance. New for 2022 is our 90s era There will be an incredible range Mk 1,2,3 and 4s gracing our streets. All you 70s and 80s kids get ready to meet the car you learnt to drive in, had your first date in, sang at the top of your lungs to top of the pops in and all those other nostalgic firsts. The Gloucester Goes Retro Facebook Page will be giving fashion, hair and make-up tips in the lead up to the event so keep an eye on that page. You will find famous car brands from yesteryear including Aston Martin, Jensen, Bentley, Triumph, Morris, and Alvis to name just a few. There are time-honoured vehicles from the turn of the last century through to the roaring twenties, from the war years to the gleaming chrome of the fifties, along with the iconic designs of the swinging sixties, and classic sports cars from the eighties. For music and dance enthusiasts, the Gloucester Goes Retro Stage sees vintage acts, and you can even and join in with swing dancing. Businesses, shops, attractions, restaurants, banks, and public houses all join in the fun by creating their own retro feel, with shop front displays and staff dressed in costume, the event brings the whole City together in celebration of our retro past.
