About the Powderham Historic Vehicle Gathering

to be held from Saturday 13th July to Sunday 14th July, 2024.

The 49th Historic Vehicle Gathering held in the scenic parkland of Powderham Castle, Kenton, near Exeter, brings together one of the largest and most diverse array of historic vehicles in the South West. Last year saw 1,500 vehicles entered covering over 100 years of motoring, ranging from two wheels to ten. Attractions include classic cars, commercial vehicles, motorbikes, miniature and full-size steamers, over 70 vehicle club displays, trade stands, autojumble, arena displays, roaming bands, refreshments and children’s entertainment. There is also a fun dog show on the Saturday. This year’s Historic Vehicle Gathering will also see a special World War 2 ‘80th Anniversary Display - The vehicles, equipment and people that made the difference’ to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Landings. The event also raises funds for various local charities, with this year’s main charities being R D & E Support Charity (Exeter), Teignmouth Shop Mobility (Teignmouth), and Veterans with Dogs (Exeter).
